Short Bio
Robin Fleming was born in Illinois, but grew up in Maryland, always missing the farmland and open spaces of the midwest. She has a BS in English Linguistics from U. of Md., and an MA in Art Education from Framingham State U. in Massachusetts. After raising her family and teaching art for 16 years, she now enjoys photography, singing, and painting.
Statement
Like so many others, I am intrigued and moved by the colors and patterns of nature more than anything else. When spending time in nature, I am a hunter for the shapes, patterns, and relationships that show the abundant beauty around us--they fill me with wonder, and feed my soul. Through art I can recreate these experiences, and sometimes create new ones, as I attempt to communicate my own awe. We are so fortunate to live on this complex and beautiful planet, that never ceases to amaze and inspire.
